Why do I have a Personal Web Page?

Well, that's a very good question.  The truth is, I really don't know.  It's really pretty silly. Isn't it?! But perhaps it will serve as a way to keep long lost friends up-to-date. I'll try to update it a bit more often. So far I've updated it once since 1999!  Anyhow, consider this a brief introduction to the amazing and fascinating ME! (Clicking on certain photos will show you a larger version of that photo.)

This is me on the set of my first (and so far, only) feature film, "SoulMates".  You might be able to find it in some video stores under the title "Evil Lives". It was distributed on home video by a company called A-PIX, which then promptly went out of business. If you do find it, I'd suggest you buy it and burn it as soon as you get it home. I'm really not proud of it. I've directed a bunch of other things in the years since, but they're mostly corporate promotional videos, so no one will ever see them. I'm in the process of putting together an independent film now called "The Man In The Machine" which you can learn more about at www.TheManInTheMachine-themovie.com.

This is my sexy girlfriend!

Her name is Debbie Valenta and she's an archaeologist. Well, actually she's an archaeologist-in-training. She's a Senior Project Coordinator at the Getty Conservation Institute, which is the part of the Getty Museum devoted to preserving archeaological sites. At the same time, she's studying for her Master's degree at California State University Northridge, so that she can get out in the field and dig up dead people herself instead of organizing others to do it.

This was my first car:   And this is my current car:

This was my first boat:                     And this is my current boat:

I've been sailing almost all my life, but I didn't learn how to swim until I was 26.

This is where I'd rather be right now!

Seen any good movies lately?

Being a filmmaker, I get asked this question a lot. Originally I inteneded to keep this section updated frequently. But I just realized that I've been recommending the same awful movie (Star Wars - Episode 1) for the last three and a half years, so I guess that plan didn't work out too well. If you'd really like to discuss movies or the state of the film business today (which I find rather lacking) why don't you email me? The address is below.

What's your philosophy on life?

I'll try to keep this site more up-to-date than I have. Perhaps I'll even post some new pictures someday. In the meantime, updates can be found at the joint page I have with Debbie at www.ThunderAndDebbie.com
